Two Russian Sailors Arrested In Colombia Released

Two Russian sailors arrested late in October on charges of drug trafficking have been released in Colombia. The Colombian investigator said that the Russians have been released "because of the lack of evidence." On the external side of the bottom of the tanker Jenmar Trust, which was transporting oil to the USA under the Liberian flag but with the Russian crew, the divers of the Colombian navy found a batch of heroin. Colombian authorities came to think that possibly the cargo had been attached to the vessel's hull from inside and detained two Russian sailors. However, the investigators later admitted that the drugs could be put into a hiding place on the bottom of the tanker from outside without the crew's knowledge.
