The Legislative Assembly of Moldova is prepared promptly to ratify the treaty of friendship and cooperation between Russia and Moldova, which was signed on Monday by their presidents Vladimir Putin and Vladimir Voronin as the basic political agreement on friendship and cooperation between the two countries. The Moldovan Legislative Assembly urges Russia's State Duma to follow suit simultaneously as early as in December. Andrei Neguca, chief of the deputy group of the Moldovan parliament for contacts with Duma, said this to journalists in Chisinau on Tuesday. In turn, Adrian Puzanovski, chief of the Duma deputy group who on November 18 arrived in Chisinau with a visit to his Moldovan colleagues, said at a press conference in the Moldovan capital that Russian parliamentarians "with enthusiasm welcomed the signing in Moscow of the major treaty between the two countries".
