Russian Vice Premier Viktor Khristenko and Christopher Patten of the European Commission will co-chair a session of a Working Group on Common Economic Space in Europe, which is due in Moscow on December 5. Today, deputy Minister of Economic Development and Trade Maxim Medvedkov and deputy head of the EC Directorate General for Foreign Relations Catherine Day met in Moscow to discuss preparations for the session. The conversation also focused on the development of the concept of a future economic space between Russia and the European Union in accordance with decisions made during a Russia-EU summit held in October, 2001.
