Russia's emergencies ministry will shortly deploy a humanitarian base in Kabul for receiving and distributing Russian and international humanitarian aid among the population of Afghanistan, first deputy Emergencies Minister of Russia Yury Vorobyov announced at a press conference on Friday. The humanitarian operation in Kabul also includes the deployment of a mobile hospital for locals, said Vorobyov, adding that an advanced operative group was leaving for the Afghan capital in the next few days and that both humanitarian base and mobile hospital would be open next week. On the whole, Russia intends to go on helping Afghanistan in times of post-conflict settlement as well, not just lend it humanitarian aid once, stressed Vorobyov. It could participate in international projects dealing with mine-clearing, specialist training and the setting up of anti-crisis structures, he added.
