Russian president Vladimir Putin said that in the morning on Monday during 5.5 hours 12 military-transport aircraft unloaded humanitarian aid at Kabul airport and safely returned. As Putin stressed, during the past few years the military-transport aviation of Russia did not carry out operations of such a degree of difficulty. According to the head of state, the take-off and landing were ensured jointly by Russian and American specialists. The action was taken at the request and with the support of the government of Afghanistan which undertook to ensure security of the Russian personnel in the Afghan capital. As Putin said, together with a group of representatives of the Emergency Situations Ministry, construction specialists and diplomats, who will restore the Russian Embassy in Kabul, arrived in Kabul. Further on, the Russian side will "decide on its own the questions of its personnel's security in Afghanistan", naturally with the support of the Afghan authorities, the president said.
