In the large Pakistani city of Karachi 20 Taliban officials led by the former leader of their consulate general Abdurrahman Halimhave been arrested in this town. The consulate general's building has been sealed up. All documentation and currency found there, which was allegedly destined as aid for Afghanistan, was taken away. It was reported in the Pakistani newspaper Dawn that according to witnesses, among the arrested were several wounded, who were treated in Karachi, and 3 Afghani doctors. In addition, police representatives maintained that there had been no arrests, but simply a police point had been set up near the sealed building. The newspaper also reported that, currently in Karachi action is continuing against a number of Taliban diplomatic missions, which in the near future will be closed. 2 weeks ago the Taliban consulate generals were closed in Karachi, Quetta and Peshavar, followed by the embassy in Islamabad.
