Russian Foreign Minister Igor Ivanov will take part in the 9th session of the Council of Foreign Ministers of OSCE member states, to be held in Bucharest on December 3 and 4, the Russian Foreign Ministry reported Monday. The coming session and decisions to be made at it, the Russian Foreign Ministry noted, will have peculiar significance as regards prospects for the activity of the OSCE as a major all-European mechanism of cooperation between Euro-Atlantic states. "In the brand-new international environment, with the world community facing a direct challenge from international terrorism, there is a difficult task of working out collective responses by the civilized society to this and other threats to global and regional stability," the ministry stressed. And here, Moscow believes, without duplicating the efforts of other organisations, the OSCE should have its weighty say.
