Talks between Vladimir Putin and Kazakhstan's President Nursultan Nazarbayev in the Kremlin began with a discussion of economic coordination between the two countries. As Putin noted, over the past year, thanks to invigoration of economic life in Russia and Kazakhstan, the two countries have been witnessing "a strong growth in trade turnover". In the first nine months of the year it reached 3.6 billion dollars and is expected to grow further before the year's end. "We can congratulate each other on the completion of the Caspian pipeline," Putin told Nazarbayev. The Russian president expressed confidence that this is not the last project of Russia and Kazakhstan.
