A Russian border guard was wounded last night during a clash on the Tajik-Afghan border. According to the press service of the Russian Border Group in Tajikistan, the clash took place on the border sector guarded by the Moskovsky border unit. A detachment assigned to this unit came under cross fire from both the Afghan territory and the Tajik rear. Border guards opened return fire. The press service also reported that in the late hours of Sunday a border unit inspecting the Kalai-Khumbski sector, discovered a cache containing approximately 11 kg of the Chars drug and 400 g of heroin.
