Chief of Staff of the Armed Forces of France Jean-Pierre Kelche is arriving for a visit in Moscow Wednesday. As a spokesman for the Defence Ministry told RIA Novosti Kelche is visiting Moscow at the invitation of the Chief of the General Staff of Russia's Armed Forces Anatoly Kvashnin. During his visit, the RIA Novosti's interlocutor said, in the first half of the day on Wednesday Kelche is expected to meet with Defence Minister of the Russian Federation Sergey Ivanov and hold talks with Anatoly Kvashnin. The French General is supposed to meet also on Wednesday with Secretary of the Security Council of Russia Vladimir Rushailo. Jean-Pierre Kelche also has in his plans meetings with chairmen of the defence committee and of international committee of the State Duma (lower house of Parliament) Andrey Nikolayev and Dmitry Rogozin. On December 14 Kelche will have meetings in the Russian Foreign Ministry with representatives of the Russian foreign policy agency. According to the Defence Ministry spokesman to be discussed during the visit of the French general are issues of cooperation of Russia and France in combating international terrorism in the military field, the situation in Afghanistan and the course of the anti-terrorist operation in that country, the state and prospects of bilateral military and military-technical cooperation, Russia-NATO relations, as well as the problems of strategic stability and security. In the morning of December 15 the Chief of Staff of France's Armed Forces will return to Paris.
