The sixth session of the Russian-Italian council on economic, industrial, currency and financial cooperation will be held on Tuesday, December 18 in Moscow. The Italian embassy to Moscow reported on Monday that taking part in the session's work will be its co-chairmen -- vice-chairman of the Russian government Alexei Kudrin and Italian foreign minister Renato Ruggiero According to the Italian diplomatic mission, when the session is over the Italian foreign minister will meet with his Russian counterpart Igor Ivanov. Renato Ruggiero is going to inform the Russian minister of the European Union summit recently held in Belgium. The ministers will exchange opinions on the problems of combating international terrorism, discuss the military operation in Afghanistan, the possible aftermaths of the US unilateral withdrawal from the 1972 ABM treaty and the situation in the Balkans and the Middle East, reported the Italian diplomatic mission. After his meeting with Igor Ivanov Renato Ruggiero is planning to meet with prime minister Mikhail Kasyanov and discuss with him the state of and prospects for the Russian-Italian trade and economic relations. The Italian foreign minister will arrive in Moscow on Monday evening from Kiev.
