A group of Chinese diplomats has arrived in Kabul. Their aim is to hold talks with the Afghan interim government and to analyse the possibility to resume the activity of the Chinese Embassy in Kabul. The Chinese diplomats will examine the headquarters of the Chinese Embassy in Kabul and will probably hoist the Chinese flag there, said the Xinhua information agency referring to a top official of the Chinese Foreign Ministry. In addition, the representatives of the Chinese Foreign Ministry will participate in the ceremony of the transfer of power to the Afghan interim government headed by Hamid Karzai scheduled for December 22. The Chinese Embassy was evacuated from Kabul in 1993.
