The Parliamentary Assembly Council of the Russia-Belarus Union will meet in Minsk December 21 to discuss execution of the Union budget in 2001 and a draft budget for 2002. The session to be chaired by State Duma (lower parliamentary house of Russia) speaker Gennady Seleznev will also consider the implementation of Russian-Belarussian production programmes. During his stay in Minsk Seleznev is expected to be received by chairman of the Higher State Council of the Union State, President of Belarus Alexander Lukashenko. The State Duma speaker will also take part in the session of the Council of the Assembly of Slavonic Peoples of Belarus, Russia and Ukraine and interparliamentary interregional association ZUBR.
