Chief of the General Staff of the Russian Armed Forces, General of the Army Anatoly Kvashnin, will fly to Ankara on Monday for a four-day working visit. General Anatoly Kvashnin will conduct negotiations with Chief of the Turkish General Staff, General Husseyin Kivrikoglu, and will meet National Defence Minister Sabahattin Cakmakoglu. During these meetings the sides will discuss the state and prospects for the development of Russian-Turkish military and military-technological cooperation and the problems of the fight against international terrorism, European security, strategic stability and missile defence. It is planned that Anatoly Kvashnin will also inform the Turkish side about the reforms in the Russian Armed Forces. There are no plans to sign any documents on the results of the negotiations. In the course of his trip the Chief of the Russian General Staff will visit a number of army units and military facilities in Ankara and other Turkish cities.
