On December 8 US Secretary of State Colin Powell arrives in Bishkek for negotiations with the Kirghiz leadership, sources in the Kirghiz Foreign Ministry reported to RIA Novosti. According to the sources, at a Bishkek meeting the US Secretary of State and the Kirghiz leadership will discuss the expansion of the republic's activity within the international anti-terrorism coalition, the Afghan developments and the maintenance of stability and security in the Central Asia region which is directly linked by many military experts to the Afghan developments. Quite possibly, the negotiators will raise the problem of deploying Air Force aircraft from a number of NATO countries in air bases of Kirghizia. At issue are French bombers Mirage and fighters F-15 which will take part in the anti-terrorist operations in Afghanistan.
