Russian Foreign Minister Igor Ivanov has announced that, on the whole, Russia views the results of a session of the Council of OSCE Foreign Ministers in a positive light. According to him, the Organisation for Security and Cooperation in Europe has been going through a crisis recently, as it has been unable to define its place in the Euro-Atlantic system. At the same time, the Russian minister said that the organisation had great potential, which could be used, in particular, to resolve problems faced by all the member nations. In Ivanov's opinion, all these countries have a common interest in security. The OSCE must decide how the organisation can pool its member-nations' efforts to meet arising challenges, Ivanov declared.
