Russian Minister of Foreign Affairs Igor Ivanov handed over the invitation from Chairman of the Russian government Mikhail Kasyanov to Romanian Prime Minister Adrian Nastase to pay a visit to Russia in January next year. The meeting between Romanian Prime Minister and the Russian Minister of Foreign Affairs took place in the Romanian capital in the context of the session of the OSCE Council of Foreign Ministers. During the coming visit the sides will discuss trade and economic cooperation between the two countries. Speaking about bilateral relations between Russia and Romania, Igor Ivanov said that Moscow is open and is ready to cooperate in all spheres. "We do not see problems which can hamper their further development," pointed out the Russian Minister of Foreign Affairs. "We are interested in dynamically developing our trade and economic relations," the Russian minister continued. According to Igor Ivanov, Moscow points out with satisfaction that Bucharest demonstrates the same attitude. "I think that we should step over the period of coolness in our relations," said the Russian Minister of Foreign Affairs. In his turn, the Prime Minister of Romania spoke of the necessity of strengthening an economic component in the bilateral relations. According to him, his is very much interested in Russia's possibilities to trade with Romania.
