Head Of Russia's Foreign Ministry: Middle East Settlement Is Possible Only If Russia, USA, European Union And UN Interact

A Middle East settlement is possible only if Russia, the USA, the European Union and the UN cooperate, Minister of Foreign Affairs of Russia Igor Ivanov told the Russian journalists upon his arrival from Athens to Brussels. As the RIA Novosti correspondent reports, according to Ivanov, precisely in such a format "we are working in the Middle East with the sides to stop the new wave of violence and to put the process back onto the footing of peaceful settlement". The Russian Minister has noted that a Middle East settlement is possible on the basis of the well-known principles worked out in the MItchell plan.
