Russian border guards confiscated 8 kg of heroin and 4 kg of another narcotic substance along the Tajik-Afghan border today.
These drugs were hidden inside two caches in the Moskovsky border-control unit's zone of responsibility, reports the press service of Russia's border-control force in Tajikistan.
Russian border guards sent a humanitarian-aid consignment belonging to the Focus international organization into northern Afghanistan March 21. The population of those Afghan regions is to get 17 tons of wheat, 7 tons of lentil, 5 tons of cooking oil, 2 tons of stationery goods, over 50 tons of carbamide and more than 33 tons of ammonium phosphate.
