Following Russia's example, Kazakhstan is introducing migration cards for the foreigners coming to the country. Under the government resolution, published on Saturday, the migration cards will be issued to all foreign citizens older than 16 who have no entry visas at the check-points on the Kazakh state border. The persons traveling by transit via Kazakhstan will be exempt from this.
In the card, foreigners must indicate the aim of the trip and the receiving side. They must present migration cards to the border-guards when leaving the country.
The introduction of migration cards will make it possible to efficiently take account of the guests arriving from abroad and improve the system of control over the foreigners staying in Kazakhstan, reported the department of migration police of Kazakhstan.
