Belarussian President Alexander Lukashenko has signed a decree "On Measures to Regulate Military-Technical Cooperation between Belarus and Foreign States." The press service of the Belarussian president reported that the decree formed the necessary legal base for the further unification of Belarussian and Russian legislation in the sphere of military-technical cooperation in compliance with the inter-governmental agreement on a common procedure of export control.
The document is based on the principle of systemic approach to the solution of all the questions pertaining to military-technical cooperation. It specifies the main goals of the country's military-technical policy, its basic principles and participants in this cooperation.
The decree, the press service clarified, includes legal norms into the Belarussian lagislation that would regulate the country's relations with its military-technical partners.
