In Ukraine more than 3.5 million hectares of winter crops have been spoilt by bad weather. As a Rosbalt correspondent reports, this was announced at a press conference in Kiev today by Vasily Sorok, a spokesman for the Ukrainian Ministry of Agriculture.
Mr Sorok said that about 43% of the winter crops had been lost. He added that 4.56 million hectares of winter crops are 'in a normal condition.'
Natural disasters this winter caused a great deal of damage to at least 13 of the 25 regions in Ukraine.
