A NASA delegation is due to visit Russia soon to discuss possible additional production of Soyuz and Progress spaceships necessary for the service of International Space Station (ISS).
According to Rosaviakosmos spokesman Sergei Gorbunov, "Russia has prepared, for this meeting, calculations on extra expenses related to the production of manned and cargo spaceships." The spokesman stressed that these calculations would be at the centre of negotiations with the NASA experts.
While referring to the prolongation of the 6th permanent expedition to the ISS, Gorbunov pointed out that there would not be an official decision on this issue.
"This prolongation becomes evident in the current situation," he said. At the same time, the Rosaviakosmos spokesman did not specify the term to which the expedition can be prolonged.
