The National Security Ministry of Georgia has decided to declassify some of the X-files concerning Chechen guerrilla operations in the Pankisi Gorge, a border area infamous as a safe haven for terrorists. The news was announced by the National Security Minister, Valery Khaburdzania, at a press conference Friday.
The decision comes after the detention of suspects believed to be linked to the discovery of ricin, a highly toxic poison, in northern London.
The materials to be declassified by Georgian security officials include video footage featuring some of the Chechen rebel groups hiding in the Pankisi Gorge, as well as emissaries of the world's No. 1 terrorist, Osama bin Laden.
