"Day of Russia" is celebrated today at the agricultural exhibition Green Week in Berlin.
Green Week is the world's largest agricultural exhibition, which invited this year 55 country-participants. Russia is represented at the exhibition by 400 companies from different regions of the country. They are featuring meat, fish and diary products, bakery and confectionery products, liquors, vodka, beer and non-alcoholic beverages. Moreover, there are two restaurants, which offer Russian cuisine dishes.
In the estimate of the exhibition organisers, in comparison with the other 55 participants the Russian exposition, which occupies 3,000 square metres of exhibition space, plays a very important role at this year's event.
The exhibition will help attract serious investment in the Russian agribiz sector," Russia's Minister of Agriculture Aleksey Gordeev, who opened today's "Day of Russia" events, said. The Russian standards in the sphere of agricultural products are higher than in Europe and this advantage must be preserved, he added.
