A delegation from the Belarussian Foreign Ministry has arrived in Washington for talks on supplying certain Belarussian textile and glass fiber products to the American market. According to the Belarussian Foreign Ministry's press office, the delegation is headed by Deputy Foreign Minister Alexander Mikhnevich.
In addition to the talks, meetings are planned between Mikhnevich and the US State Department and Trade Ministry. During the meetings, the prospects for normalizing and developing relations between the two countries will be discussed. According to the Belarussian Foreign Ministry, Mikhnevich intends to raise the issue of lifting visa restrictions imposed by the US on the entry into the country of a number of high-ranking officials, including President Alexander Lukashenko. The delegation's visit to the US ends on January 14.
