Iran and Afghanistan have signed two agreements on cooperation in trade and transportation spheres.
The documents were signed by Iranian Minister of Roads and Transport Ahmad Khoram, Iranian Trade Minister Mohammad Shariatmadari and Afghan Trade Minister Mostafa Kazemi, who is on a visit to the Iranian capital.
The sides confirmed their intention to develop the partnership in the trade and economic spheres and increase the level of cooperation on the basis of non-interference and respect of mutual interests.
The trade agreement provides for the increase in the trade turnover, regulates transportation of goods through the territories of both countries, establishes joint trade committees, settles hygiene, legal and customs issues, and also credit and financing aspects of bilateral trade.
The transportation agreement includes the construction of roads in Afghanistan with the help of Iran, in particular, the road between Dolaram and Zerendzh.
