Kamal Kharazi and Joschka Fischer, respective Ministers of Foreign Affairs of Iran and Germany, had a telephone conference Monday, December 30. They were discussing plans to overthrow Iraqi leader Saddam Hussain, allege certain Iranian-based periodicals.

As things really were, the two ministers were discussing the latest regional reforms and changes, the Iraqi crisis, and bilateral contacts. Whatever military plans against Iraq were out of the agenda.
