President of Belarus Alexander Lukashenko is not distressed about the US authorities' decision to deny him entry into the Untied States.
Talking to pressmen upon his arrival in Moscow on Wednesday, the Belarussian leader declared that "since they (the Americans) have taken such a decision, it means that they stand to gain from it."
"So far, I haven't been in the United States to discuss bilateral relations, and I think I will do without it now too," said Lukashenko.
The press-service of the US State Department has released a statement on stopping the issuing of American entry visas for "official or private trips" to Alexander Lukashenko, leader of Belarus, as well as to seven "other high-ranking officials of his government." This ban came into force on November 26.
The USA explains its decision by the situation with human rights and democracy in Belarus, as well as the "forced closure of the Minsk-based OSCE monitoring group."
