German Minister of Foreign Affairs Joschka Fischer will conduct negotiations in Uzbekistan and Afghanistan on Monday and Tuesday.
The German Ministry of Foreign Affairs reported about it on Monday, having added that in this tour the minister is accompanied by members of the Committee for Foreign Policy and the Committee for Defence of the German parliament (Bundestag).
In Tashkent, Joschka Fischer will meet with Uzbek Minister of Foreign Affairs Abdulaziz Kamilov.
In Kabul his talks have been planned with President of Afghanistan Hamid Karzai and Minister of Foreign Affairs Doctor Abdullah.
The central themes at the negotiations will be the political situation in Afghanistan, the revival of that country and bilateral relations with the FRG.
Another important theme will be preparations for the International Conference on Afghanistan which has been scheduled for December 2, near Bonn in the FRG.
Apart from that, the German Minister of Foreign Affairs will visit in Kabul the Bundeswehr soldiers who had been included in the international contingent within the framework of the UN peacekeeping mission and will also meet with special representative of the UN Secretary General for Afghanistan Lahdar Brahimi.
