Representatives of the law enforcing agencies of Russia and China are meeting in Khabarovsk, the administrative center of a Far Eastern Russian region of the same name, on Tuesday and Wednesday to discuss bilateral problems dealing with circulation and transit of narcotic drugs and psychotropic substances, the press service of the Russian foreign ministry's Chief Department for the Far Eastern Federal District reported on Monday.
According to the information of the press service, the working meeting between Russian and Chinese law enforcers will be taking place in the Russian interior ministry's Chief Department to the Far Eastern Federal District. The meeting is expected to gather interior ministry specialists from Moscow, Khabarovsk, Vladivostok, Blagoveshchensk and Birobidzhan, as well as their colleagues from those of the Chinese provinces that border on Russia.
The parties will discuss measures to stop export and import of drugs and their derivatives across the state border, and coordination of actions taken by Russian and Chinese interior ministry specialists. They will also sign a bilateral agreement on measures to combat drug trafficking.
