National Police Chief Gen. Da'i Bachtiar said Friday that Imam Samudra, the alleged mastermind of the Bali blasts that killed at least 185 people, has confessed to involvement in those and other bombings that have rocked Indonesia in the past two years, AP reported.
"He confessed to the bombings in Batam, Jakarta and Bali," said Da'i, referring to both the Bali blasts and a series of other bombings in the country.
Imam Samudra, who was arrested Thursday evening, has admitted holding planning meetings in the Central Java city of Solo "until it was decided toconduct a bombing in Bali," Bachtiar was quoted by AFP as saying.
