Iranian town of Rasht to host Russian goods fair

An unprecedented exhibition-fair of goods produced by the Russia's Southern Federal District manufacturers opened in the Iranian town of Rasht.

Agricultural, industrial and folk made goods will be presented at the exhibition by 50 firms and companies of the Stavropol, Astrakhan, Volgograd and other regions of Southern Russia.

Such a large-scale event will certainly speed up trade cooperation between Southern districts of Russia and Northern provinces of the Islamic Republic of Iran, Governor-General of the Gilan Province Masoud Soltanifar said.

In Soltanifar's opinion, the exhibition-fair, which is to last until September 14th, gives a brilliant opportunity for Russian and Iranian manufacturers, businessmen and salesmen to familiarise with the economic potential of the two countries.
