The close and friendly relations that the Mongolian news agency Montsame and RIA Novosti have been developing for several decades, have recently entered a new stage, Montsame director general Tugalkhuugiin Baasansuren told RIA Novosti following the visit of RIA Novosti chairman of the board Alexei Zhidakov to Ulaanbaatar.
According to the Mongolian side, the new cooperation agreement the two agencies signed in late 2001 has added dynamism to the exchange of information, as well as to expanding and enhancing the companies' business links. Montsame receives daily more than 300 RIA Novosti news that are "in demand among Mongolian mass media," the director general said.
During the RIA Novosti chairman's visit to Mongolia, the parties outlined a number of new interesting projects in information cooperation which are to contribute to further strengthening of the mutually profitable links between the two countries, he added.
