Witkoff and Kushner Cancel Brussels Meeting With Zelensky After Moscow Talks

The special envoy of US President Donald Trump Steve Witkoff, and the American leader's son-in-law Jared Kushner – canceled their scheduled meeting with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky in Brussels, journalist Alex Raufoglu of Euronews reported on social platform.

Journalist Reports Sudden Cancellation in Brussels

"The Brussels meeting is called off, according to sources. Zelenskyy is returning home. Kremlin claims that Witkoff and Kushner ‘promised’ to head directly to Washington after talks with Putin" the journalist wrote.

Raufoglu noted that the meeting between Witkoff, Kushner, and Zelensky was expected to take place in the Belgian capital on 3 December, following the completion of negotiations in Moscow.

Kremlin: Trump Envoys Will Return to the US, Not Kyiv

Earlier, Russian presidential aide Yury Ushakov stated that Witkoff and Kushner would not travel to Ukraine after their meeting with Vladimir Putin at the Kremlin but would instead fly directly back to the United States.

"They did not promise us that they would go to Kyiv; they promised that they would return home, to their native Washington,"

he said.
