Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov, responding to a question about the alleged meeting between representatives of Russia and US Army Secretary Daniel Driscoll in Abu Dhabi, said that Moscow prefers "to practice diplomacy rather than wag tongues," RIA Novosti reports.
"Our approach is different. As I have already said, the channels exist, but we prefer to engage in real diplomacy, not chatter aimed at provoking or undermining positive and promising initiatives," Sergey Lavrov, Foreign Minister of Russia said.
Earlier, it became known that Driscoll intended to present the Russian side with the shortened peace plan proposed by President Donald Trump for resolving the conflict in Ukraine.
