Sergey Mironov, chairman of the Russian Federation Council (upper house ofthe Russian parliament), and Vladimir Litvin, chairman of the Ukraine'sSupreme Rada, have signed a joint statement on deepening relations betweenthe two countries in the trade and economic spheres. According to thedocument, Ukraine and Russia are to promote the development of free tradein both countries, inflow of capitals and investments and eliminatingcurrent barriers in these spheres.Moreover, the parties intend to render any possible support to thedevelopment and improvement of national legislations, first of all in theeconomic sphere taking into account Russia's and Ukraine's interests inintegrating into European structures and the World Trade Organization, aswell as into processes in the CIS, the UFS agency reported..
