On Wednesday First Deputy Foreign Minister of Russia Vyacheslav Trubnikov received in Moscow a delegation of American congressmen. The American delegation was headed by Henry Hyde, the Chairman of the Congress Committee on International Relations. According to the information provided by the Russian Foreign Ministry, the parties spoke in favour of continuing the dialogue on key strategic issues.
The participants in the meting assessed the development of Russo-American relations as "positive." They also expressed satisfaction with the level of cooperation between the two countries in the struggle against global threats and challenges which primarily refers to international terrorism.
