Belarus will render every assistance to Russian convoy of rescuers heading for Germany

The Belarussian Emergencies Ministry will provide every assistance to the Russian Emergencies Ministry's convoy with humanitarian aid for Germany which contains 4 motor cars and 20 trucks and is expected to cross the Russian-Belarussian border on Tuesday. According to Viktor Tishchenko, chief of the department of fire-fighting and prevention of emergency situations of the Belarussian Emergencies Ministry, once the convoy crosses the border it will be taken care of by Belarussian traffic police whose cars will escort the convoy to the institute of training and improvement of qualification of Belarus' Emergencies Ministry located near the city of Borisov. The Russians will spend a night there and early in the morning on Wednesday they will move on towards Brest accompanied by Belarussian traffic police vehicles.

Tishchenko indicated that "since the German side has requested to deliver the cargo as quickly as possible, the schedule of the convoy's movement will rather intense." According to him, in order to avoid unnecessary delays the convoy will by-pass Minsk.
