The Pentagon will supply Kazakhstan's Ministry of Defence with military hardware to the tune of $2,750,000, the Kazakh Defence Office press service reported on Friday, following a 5-day seminar for the Ministry's officials.
The participants of the seminar studied the US international programmes office's work in Kazakhstan, US military aid programmes, legal regulations for rear provision systems, the military hardware direct purchasing practice.
According to the chairman of the seminar, Greg Brent, professor of the Institute of International Military Cooperation Programmes Management, the US is interested in successful implementation of the projects, which will let the Kazakh Armed Forces participate in peace-keeping and anti-terrorist operations.
The seminar also featured the Hammer cross-country vehicles and combat helicopters. Besides, an agreement on teaching Kazakh officers at US military institutions was reached.
