Nicolae Dudau, Foreign Minister of Moldova, said on Friday that the draft Agreement between Moldova and Transdniestria which Russia, Ukraine and the OSCE presented to Chisinau and Tiraspol on July 2-3 should be submitted for nationwide discussion.
The minister noted that the discussion may take the form of a referendum in the course of which the citizens of the republic will be able to express their attitude to the idea of Moldova's federalization.
The minister is convinced that "without full re-integration of Moldova, which provides for the final settlement of the Transdniestrian issue, there can be no serious talk of foreign investments into Moldova's economy." Dudau also stressed that "without the country's unification there can't be any of Moldova's integration into the single family of European states, either." The Foreign Ministry notes the interest of international and diplomatic structures in the resumption of the dialogue between Chisinau and Tiraspol with the participation of mediators -- Russia, Ukraine and OSCE, stressed Nicolae Dudau.
