Bloomberg says when Russia intends to annex liberated Ukrainian regions

The Kremlin is preparing to hold a referendum on the entry into the Russian Federation of the liberated regions of Ukraine. Bloomberg writes about this, citing informed sources.

According to the interlocutors of the agency, the goal of the Kremlin is to annex the territories before September 15. The sources added that voting is planned to be organized in the Kherson and Zaporozhye regions, as well as in regions that the Russian army will liberate in the coming weeks.

In addition, Bloomberg emphasizes that the referendum should be held in the Donetsk and Luhansk regions.

"The preparation is led by the first deputy head of the presidential administration, Sergei Kiriyenko," the report says.

The article notes that if the liberated territories become part of the Russian Federation, Moscow will take control of about a fifth of Ukraine and receive a land connection with Crimea.
