The head of the Foreign Ministry of the Czech Republic Jan Lipavsky, said that he intended to propose to the countries of the union to reconsider the foundations of relations with Russia, taking into account "new threats."
"In my speech, I will urge you to think about what the new EU policy towards Russia should be. I think it's time to reconsider our policy and measures towards Russia," he said before a meeting in Brussels of EU foreign ministers.
According to him, a detailed discussion may take place at an informal meeting of EU foreign ministers in Prague at the end of August.
"There are a number of fundamental principles on which the relations between the EU and the Russian Federation are based, which must be updated and adapted to the new reality of hostility, we need to be prepared for Russian threats," Lipavsky explained.
