Boris Malakhov, a deputy official representative of Russia's Foreign Ministry, said on Monday, August 5, that the intention of Israeli government to loosen restrictions against Palestinians was a positive step. According to Mr. Malakhov, 'the establishing of a cooperation between Israel and Palestine as concerns security in the region may become a considerable contribution to the overcoming of the existing confrontation and the restoration of a political dialogue'.
Mr. Malakhov also said that the continuing terrorist attacks both in Israel and Palestine undermine all efforts toward resolving the crisis and the resumption of talks and must be decisively condemned.
