NATO Demands Macedonian Military Stop Using Russian Su-24 Fighter Jets

According to the Ministry of Defence of the Republic of Macedonia, NATO demands Macedonian military stop using Russian Su-24 fighter jets.

NATO insists that the reduction of the number of Macedonia's military airplanes and, in addition, of the number of her heavy guns is the principal condition of the republic's admission to the alliance. Today, Macedonia's government said it would not try and meet this condition.

In 2000 and 2001. because the numbers of Macedonia's military machinery had been reduced, the country failed to adequately respond to the Albanian militant's insurrection.
