Washington comes out for the earliest solution of the Dniester conflict, said ambassador of the United States to Moldavia Pamela Hyde Smith.
According to her, the United States believes that the document, proposed by the mediators from the Organisation for Security and Cooperation in Europe (OSCE), Russia and Ukraine during the five-party negotiations in Kiev on July 2-3, is an important contribution to the process of resolving the Dniester conflict.
The ambassador said that the United States was attentively studying the draft document and supported it. Washington calls upon Chisinau and Tiraspol to work with the mediators and start negotiations on the basis of this document as soon as possible, she underscored.
We also hope that the negotiations will be of a serious nature aimed at achieving a final agreement within the shortest possible time," pointed out the ambassador.
