The struggle against international terrorism will be the centrepiece of talks during the official visit of Vladimir Rushailo, the Secretary of the Russian Security Council, to Moldova on November 13th-15th.
"Rushailo will hold meetings in Chisinau with the Moldovan political leadership, leaders of the government and the parliament, Secretary of the Supreme Security Council of the Republic of Moldova Valery Gurbulya, and the heads of power structures," said the press service of the Russian Security Council.
During the meetings, the parties will discuss regional and international security and bilateral relations.
"What with anti-terrorist activities coming to the fore and becoming a priority with the national security sphere, the consultations in Chisinau will naturally focus on the struggle against international terrorism," said the press service.
Talking to journalists on the eve of Rushailo's arrival, Secretary of the Supreme Security Council of Moldova Valery Gurbulya stressed that he and Rushailo were planning to discuss "dismissal of double standards in respect of terrorists, approval of a plan of actions for the year 2003, and the composition of a coordinating working group." "This will be the first contact at the level of security councils of Moldova and Russia," he noted.
