On Thursday, the 13th session of the Council of the Heads of Security Departments and Special Services of the CIS member-states is opening in Chisinau. RIA Novosti learned in the Moldavan Centre of Public Relations of Information Service and Security that a two-day session will be studying the implementation of the protocol on cooperation between security departments and special services of the CIS countries in the fight against terrorism, separatism and other forms of extremism.
The proposal to cover in the media joint activities of security departments and special services in the fight against international terrorism and other forms of extremism will be in the focus of the session.
The participants in the session are expected to define the procedure of collaboration between special services to curb smuggling, activities of interregional and international criminal groups that are doing harm to the CIS countries.
