On Wednesday, a delegation of the Senate of France is arriving in Moscow at the invitation of the leadership of the Federation Council. As RIA Novosti was told in the press service of the upper chamber of the Russian parliament, the visit will last till September 27th.
On Wednesday, the members of the delegation of the French Senate are expected to meet Russian Prime Minister Mikhail Kasyanov.
On Thursday, the members of the delegation headed by chairman of the French parliament Christian Poncelet plan to hold a number of working meetings, specifically with speaker of the Federation Council Sergei Mironov and chairman of the State Duma (the lower chamber) Gennady Seleznev.
Poncelet's meetings with mayor of Moscow Yuri Luzhkov and with Russian Foreign Minister Igor Ivanov are slated to take place on that same day.
It is expected that on September 27th the delegation will leave by air for St. Petersburg where it will meet plenipotentiary representative of the president in the North-Western federal district Viktor Cherkesov. Later the same day the delegation will fly to Paris.
