The search for the missing people in the glacier's fall area in the Karmadon Gorge in North Ossetia (a republic in the North Caucasus) resumed on Wednesday morning.
All in all, 468 people, including 8 cynologists with working dogs, 3 helicopters and 99 technical units are involved in the rescue operations, the Russian Emergencies Ministry told RIA Novosti. In addition to rescue works, the experts will appraise the condition of two lakes, formed by the fall of the glacier.
The Hanging glacier and heavy mudflows hit the Karmadon Gorge at 21.00 Moscow time on September 20th, killing 10 people. Rescuers managed to save 27 people. Some 92-95 people are missing, including Russian film director Sergei Bodrov Jr. and his crew and 20 North Ossetian officials, who were on vacation at a recreation centre.
